OMG! My violin playing son just had a performance at school. They played The Canon in D. Not at all very well but they played it.

I just called him downstairs to hear what it's supposed to sound like. He wasn't amused. LOL!

Seriously it's one of my favorites. Thanks so much for stopping my blog.

What a great "first choice" for your posting Music Monday! That's one of my favorites too. There's something so compelling in the strings, and the children's voices--how wondrous.

I let SMID know you took part in Music Monday for the first time yesterday--I know you had fun doing it, and I expect we'll see more of your sharing in coming Monday's! Great choice.

ooooh the Canon in D from Pachelbell! My favourite classical piece. I totally love it, it makes you dream away.

Although I must honestly say I don't really like the piano in it. It's the first time I hear a choir on it, that's kinda cool but nothing beats an Baroque setting with organ and violins only. Mmmmm, dreaming away in my clouds now.

Hey there! I didn't realize you were playing along until wholly burble left me a note. So sorry I didn't link to you. Can I make it up to you this coming Monday? It is perfect for Christmas eve.

Congrats on figuring out how to post a video.

And my sons were completely enthralled with this clip. One guy replayed it 5 times. Thank you for sharing this with my family!

I'm glad you all liked this. I was browsing when I found it. I had never seen it presented in this way before either. I thought it different and the children added something special to it. It was fun and I'll be playing again... dang, another thing to get hooked on... LOL
