Hello !!! We're back from Las Vegas and let me tell you..... what a trip ! It was a trip of memories that's for sure. I'm not big on gambling so that wasn't much of a pull for me but the glitz !!!! Now, that got me ! I loved seeing the casino's. The fountains, waterfalls, architecture, statues... oh my ! Beautiful !!!
We saw the white tigers in The Secret Garden, the lion habitat, and the large aquariums. We ate at Roxy's in Circus Circus. I could have sat there all day. The staff took turns singing all the old time rock and roll songs. It was fabulous and the food was good.
We stayed at the Terribles Hotel and Casino. It was a smaller place but the buffet was great and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was great.
We visited with our mom and I got to meet more of the family. My half sister came over from Ca. and we got to meet. It was wonderful. You can definitely tell we are sisters. We look like our grandmother when she was younger.
Our family was like the Brady Bunch.... moms 2 girls and her husbands 4 kids. Mom lives with Deb, one of his girls. She was wonderful and I feel like she is a sister to me now too. Remember... I was adopted out, so I wasn't raised with the family.
I took lots of pictures and I'll be putting them here as time goes on. I just wanted to let you know I was home and I missed all you all. (((HUGS)))

Oh, I'm the same way. I love Vegas, even though I'm obviously not into the majority of the "entertainment" offered there. But the fountains and statues and all that! Yeah! I love it!

My friend and I were recently discussing about the prevalence of technology in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory drops, the possibility of transferring our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about every once in a while.
